Who is Maya Vajra?
Maya Vajra (pronounced VAH-zhrah) has studied and practiced energy work since 1989 and is a Master of Acupuncture graduate of the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2002. She is a licensed acupuncturist in Washington state and NCCAOM board certified. Additionally, She is a certified specialist in acupuncture detoxification by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association and continues to expand her education. In addition to practicing general Chinese medicine, her areas of special focus are the treatment of pain, personal transformation/ transition and digestive issues/disorders as well as women’s health and stress/nervous system challenges.
Maya’s philosophy is one of good communication between patient and practitioner. She believes her role is to facilitate her patients to their optimal well-being and believes in patient empowerment to this end.
Maya utilizes acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, sound therapy, energy work, cupping, gua sha and dietary advice to assist patients in their healing process.
Remember, it is your treatment. Communicate any concerns, fears or needs you may have to your acupuncturist. She will be happy to address them and make any adjustments necessary to help you feel more comfortable. |
